Filament tape, also called strapping tape, has glass or fiberglass filaments that run the length of the tape, providing higher tensile strength than another packing tape. Filament tape is minimized surface damage when removed, has a strong adhesive, and is used for sealing corrugated cardboard boxes, pipe bundling, pallet packing, and temporarily connecting parts during assembly operations.

The industrial tape has adhesive on one or both sides of flexible cloth, metallic, rubber, or plastic backing for securing items. Foam tape provides an insulating barrier between surfaces. Foil tape is reflective, UV resistant, and thermally conductive, with a metal backing and a strong adhesive for conforming to curves and uneven surfaces. Transfer tape is double-sided, with pressure-sensitive adhesive and a removable paper backing that allows users to join two materials.
