Twig Herbicide is a systemic herbicide designed for the effective control of annual and perennial grasses and broadleaf weeds in cowpea, soybeans, and other legume crops. It can be applied at multiple stages — pre-plant, pre-emergence, and post-emergence — making it a versatile weed control option.

Active Ingredient:
Imazethapyr 700g/kg WDG — a member of the Imidazolinone class of herbicides. Imazethapyr works by inhibiting the enzyme acetohydroxyacid synthase, which is essential for the synthesis of branched-chain amino acids in plants. When used at recommended low levels, this class of herbicides is relatively safe for the environment and non-toxic to mammals.

Dosage Rate:

• Apply at the rate of 100g per hectare.

Dilution Rate:

• Apply 1 sachet in 20 litres using a knapsack sprayer.

Mode of Use:

• Apply to actively growing weeds at the 2–4 leaf stage.

• For best results, apply when soil and weeds are moist, or at least 4 hours before rainfall.

• Ensure complete coverage of the field.

• Follow the recommended dosage rate for effective results.

Storage Conditions:

• Store only in original packaging.

• Keep in a dry place, away from children, pets, and domestic animals.

Protective Measures:

• Do not eat, drink, or smoke during use.

• Wash hands and exposed skin after spraying and before meals.

• Wear protective clothing such as rubber aprons, coveralls, chemical splash goggles, safety shoes, and hard hats, along with respiratory protective devices.

• Wash all protective clothing after use.

• Avoid contaminating surface water with chemicals or empty containers.

• Dispose of empty containers safely after use.

First Aid Measures:

• Eye Contact: Flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes; take the patient and container to the doctor.

• Ingestion: Administer activated charcoal immediately; take the patient and container to the doctor urgently.
