The Standard Abrasives™ Type 27 Unitized Wheel - 500 Series is specially designed to help operators access internal right angles and achieve precision blending and finishing. Made with soft density silicon carbide, these wheels are perfect for light-pressure polishing on both ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including titanium and composites.

The Type 27 wheel features a depressed center design that allows angle grinding without surface damage from the tool attachment. This 4-1/2" wheel fits standard right angle grinders with guards and excels at polishing, blending, and finishing tasks in small or hard-to-reach areas. The soft non-woven nylon construction makes it ideal for applications with tight tolerances, as it conforms to contours without gouging.

Choose between:

• Wheel 532: Fine grade silicon carbide, great for light pressure and fine polishing with high conformability.

• Wheel 524: Medium grade silicon carbide, denser and more rigid for higher cut rates and tougher finishing jobs.

This wheel resists loading, maintains its shape over time, and provides consistent performance throughout its life. It's also bi-directional, enabling clockwise and counterclockwise operation for enhanced versatility.
