A combination lock is a type of locking device in which a sequence of symbols, usually numbers, is used to open the lock. The sequence may be entered using a single rotating dial that interacts with several discs or cams, by using a set of several rotating discs with inscribed symbols that directly interact with the locking mechanism, or through an electronic or mechanical keypad.
A combination padlock doesn't use a key. Instead, a sequence of symbols or numbers is used to open the lock. Single-dial combination locks, sometimes called Rotary Locks, use just one dial to enter the unique combination.
