Semi-trailer stabilizer jacks are used to support the front of the trailer when it is not hitched to the truck. This is most commonly done when the truck is at the dock. It is quick and easy to secure the truck with a trailer stabilizer jack. Simply spin the top or crank the handle.
The trailer stabilizer jack prevents the trailer from upending during loading and unloading. It’s a very important piece of safety equipment to be used at any dock where trailers are dropped and loaded. Quite frankly the trailer levelling jack prevents accidents.
Trailer accidents occur when trailers are not properly supported by a semi-trailer stabilizer jack. Imagine being on a forklift loading a pallet in the nose of a trailer when the entire trailer up-ends and you go crashing forward. Prevent dock related accidents before they happen by purchasing this safety jack.
NOTICE: all unattached trailers should be nose supported by trailer stabilizing jacks. All Drivers: Chock wheels on both sides. Set Brakes. Shut off engine. Driver stays in the dock area. Put jacks under the nose of detached semi-trailers. As noted in OSHA 1910.178 (k) (3): “Fixed jacks may be necessary to support a semi-trailer and prevent upending during the loading or unloading when the trailer is not coupled to a tractor.”
